Halfords Riding High
By Mark Slater

Cheltenham, Chester & Preston has been singled out with three other locations to trial a new concept in stores, dubbed “laboratory stores.” The store features more open space, greater interaction with products and a better service environment.Customer feedback on these ambitious designs will then be used to help shape Halfords future store designs across its 467-store estate.

The Maxim Creative Group Ltd, was tasked to complete these 3 stores, including the CAD drawings and technical specs of each component within the store, manufacture of all equipment from cash desks to bike racks and the ‘new’ – ‘bike labs’ and also including all print material and graphics.

Maxim’s fit-out teams then installed all the equipment and print throughout each store over 2 week deadlines per store completing on time leaving Halfords customers with a new shopping experience with these selected stores.
